I wish you great success
Hi,
when I've read first time about this new site, I've had exactly the question you mentioned: "Why do we need
another shogi discussion group?" (... as there existing a lot of them, which have almost no attention.)
I'm not absolutely agree, that the shogi world is in two grops (stronger and weaker players) and to bring them together we would need this new group. (This can be done also with the existing ones.)
But I agree, that the Shogi-L has no (good) categorization which is bad.
And about Shogi Prospect, it seems it is not accepted, to less people writing and it's almost unused, now.
So I hope, that "The 81 square universe" will not fall into the same hole and manage it to get enough people often writing, so it can be alive and getting more and more people.
Good success for your project,
BCM

With dedication and care, also support from the community and the famous people such as Takodori-san and Hidetchi-san, I hope we'll grow to be very successful. Although time is definitely needed for growth, we have plenty to give
.

Wow, I'm really surprised, how many posts are here in that short time.
I was in holliday for two weeks and am afraid, that it would need too much time to read them all.

Re: I wish you great success
The forum turned out to be much more popular than I could have hoped in such a short period of time! It's great that so many people have come together to discuss shogi with us.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday.

Right now we're working on a domain and more activities in the future. My computer is currently broken but I'm on the process of fixing it. We're looking for hosts right now but also programmers who can program online Java applets for shogi-playing.
